Meet The Team

Sherley Singh, an MBA is a business woman and entrepreneur. She is sucessfully running her family owned hotel and restaurant as well as leading several private companies. She is the founder trustee of this foundation and is the driving force behind each project. Her dynamic leadership and ability to resolve issues practically has led to the success of the projects.

Anjali Bose, a post graduate with 17 years experience in the corporate world has been an inspiration and has dedicated her whole life to betterment of under privileged children. She is the driving force of project Nagriksatta since its inception.

Fondly known as Maniji or Mani Ma’am, she has been actively involved in educating the underpriviledged students for the past 4 decades. Her relentless efforts in getting school drop outs to complete their education have led to many success stories and her students have gone on to leading successful lives. She single handedly taught the 1st graders of the JGMPS at the inception of the school in 2008. She leads from the front and has been a source of inspiration to all who are blessed to connect with her.

Raju Singh, is an Indian film and TV background score composer, music director, session musician, singer and a guitarist. He lends financial support and is the strength of the foundation.

Merlyn Joseph Karavlil, an MBA is a business woman and entrepreneur. She is a writer and artist. She spear heads the creative aspects of the projects and has led the Rastaa Chaap art project and the school classroom painting to its fruition.

Vaishali Kotwal an architect by profession has been involved with teaching and education since past 20 years and has been with Nagriksatta since it’s inception and leads the entire academic and extra curricular team. Her total involvement and dedication is invaluable. She leads by example.

Shivani Agarwal  is an accomplished chocolatier by profession. Early on her life, she was involved with teaching the mentally challenged and spent considerable amount of time researching on how to use their skill for their betterment. She has been a part of the NSWA Project since the past 15 years and is heading the Saksham Vocational Centre at Vile Parle West.

Joshua is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music producer. He is an avid footballer and firmly believes in the power of sports to transform lives.

Sandeep Devasthale is an actuary by profession with 32 years of experience in Life Insurance Industry. He has been involved in the NSWA project since past 5 years due to his passion for teaching maths to students. He is also incharge of all the financials including projections, progress reports and monitoring and tracking our students in the higher grades.

Rachel Singh is a singer-songwriter and visual artist from Mumbai, India. She has majored in songwriting at the Berklee College of Music, Boston. Growing up, she trained in Hindustani classical music alongside western theory through the Trinity College Of London. In addition to spearheading multiple music related initiatives, Rachel also strives to bring music into the lives of RJF's beneficiary children.
